TrailHead

TrailHead (Nekudat Motsa in Hebrew), started its way in 2012. We were looking for ways to combine our passion for the outdoors, our knowledge of the history of the land of Israel and its nature – with the eagerness to meet new people and share those passions with them. Having bikes as another thing that makes us happy, we added that to the stew and the result was a place we have in the beautiful region of the Ella Valley in the Judean Hills. Here we have bikes for rent, which we also use to operate and guide in other locations such as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. As Israeli tour guides, we do not limit ourselves to bike tours only. We take people in any size of group to show them any part of Israel that might interest them. As far as we are concerned, most means of traveling are great. Whether it’s on foot, hiking along some of the many trails Israel nature can offer, or on bikes both off and on the road. Site seeing and visiting, hopping from place to place by car is also a great option in many cases.

So, just contact us, tell us what your general plan for a visit in Israel is, and we will do our best to make it happen.

Uri Tishler

I’m Uri Tishler. One of the things that really makes me happy is simply being outdoors. Hiking, cycling, driving… nights in a sleeping bag gazing at stars, sunny days under a Carob tree or meandering along a winding mountain path. I love exploring new places, but I have to admit – since 1996 when we moved to the Judean Hills, this is my favorite “outdoors”. Well…, it is right here, it is so beautiful and serene, and I can simply escape into complete isolation in five minutes on my bike.

For years I was used to dragging others along with me. Families with young children, friends who also love to grab a backpack and head off for a long weekend in the Negev, and neighbors who one after the other bought a bicycle to join me on my weekend rides. Then, one fine morning I woke up and decided that this is what I want to do all the time.

I quit my job as an Operation Manager and replaced the factory indoors with the Israeli outdoors. I have added an Israeli tour guide tag to that, and destinations all over the country, in most means of exploration – a car, 4X4 vehicle, pedals, or… simply two legs. In a nutshell, I hope to meet you here, there and everywhere in Israel and explore its beauties together.

Dolev Arbaieter

My name is Dolev Arbaieter. I am a certified Israeli tour guide and a rappelling instructor. For as long as I can remember I have been exploring the great outdoors and my surrounding. As a child I have hiked and discovered many of Israel’s hidden spots, waded its springs and explored its ancient ruins. After high school I postponed my military service by one year in which I served as a guide in JNF’s “Green horizons” youth movement which offers educational outdoor activities for youth in Israel. While studying for degrees in Psychology, and History of the Jewish Nation.  I have lived in the heart of Jerusalem and had a chance to explore and learn its rich history and sites. Today I live as close to nature as can be, in the Adulam region of the Judean Hills where every step outside is a small trip to nature. Here I have combined my love to nature, and to people, and I invite you to join me on cycling, hiking and walking tours throughout the region and all around the land of Israel. My experience with different types of travellers promises you a customised tour whether you are a family with children, youth or adult. Israel, Adulam and I have something exciting and interesting to give each of you.

Ruku Soffer

I am Ruku Soffer (Actually I’m Roee and Ruku is a nickname I live with). For years, people have been telling me to combine my love of people, my passion for knowledge, nature and the outdoors with my dramatic skills and become a tour guide. Leadership, Guiding and the field have been a part of my life since youth. As an active guide in an Israeli youth movement, as a Geology bachelor and through administrative and executive positions in NGOs and large financial organizations. As a child with my father and later with my own kids I have hiked, biked and visited the known and hidden trails of Israel and elsewhere around the world. After settling with my family here in the Adulam region and exploring its diversity of places and people I have acquired my Israeli tour guide license.

The Israel experience combines Hiking, biking, desert trails and historical cities and sites together with great stories of people, communities and nations. I am eager to share my love, experience and knowledge of Israel’s gems (and also some coffee) with you! So hop on, let’s have fun together.
